Hon. James E. Oakley is assigned to hear all matters filed within the Civil Division of the Main Government Center including law and motion, settlement and trial. Hon. Thomas L. Bender is assigned all juvenile, education code and adoptions cases for all purposes including law and motion, settlement and trial under Rule 3.734, California Rules of Court. Judge Bender is the Presiding Judge of the Juvenile Department. He is assigned to Department 6. Department
6 Staff:
Temporary Judge Hon. Nancy C. Staggs will handle all traffic proceedings under the Vehicle Code and Family Support cases for all purposes including law & motion, settlement and trial under Rule 3.734, California Rules of Court. She is assigned to Department 7. Department
7 Staff:
Hon. Charles A. Wieland is assigned to all cases filed within the Sierra Division, including all criminal, traffic, civil, family law, probate, and small claims cases for all purposes including case management, law and motion, settlement and trial under Rule 3.734, California Rules of Court. He is assigned to Sierra Court, Department 8. Department
8 Staff:
Hon. Mitchell C. Rigby, Presiding Judge is assigned criminal cases filed at the Main Government Center. This is a direct calendar court and once assigned to a case is assigned for all purposes, including law and motion matters, settlement and trial under Rule 3.734, California Rules of Court. Judge Rigby hears Drug Court Cases as assigned. He is assigned to Department 9. Department 9 Staff: Hon. D. Lynn Jones, Assistant Presiding Judge is assigned to hear all family law matters filed within the Civil Division of the Main Government Center including law and motion, settlement and trial. This is done pursuant to Rule 3.734, California Rules of Court. She is assigned to Department 10 . Department 10 Staff: Ex Parte hearings will be heard in Department 5 , Monday through Friday beginning at 8 AM and Department 8, Monday through Friday beginning at 9:00 AM.
