Madera County Superior Court to Continue Indoor Masking Requirement, effective March 1, 2022

As of March 1, 2022, Governor Newsom, as announced by the California Department of Public Health, amended the statewide indoor masking mandate to a strong recommendation for all persons, regardless of vaccination status; however, until further notice, the Madera County Superior Court will continue to require masks for all court users/visitors.  This action is taken to continue to protect the public's health during the pandemic.

The authority for the continuation is the 31st General Order of the Presiding Judge (see February 15, 2022 news notification to view the Order), as well as options provided to businesses by the California Department of Public Health.  In addition, Madera County remains at a high risk community level pursuant to the Center for Disease Control.
