  • Domestic Violence (DV) Restraining Orders (including Temporary Orders) and Gun Violence (GV) Restraining Orders

    Effective July 1, 2023, the Madera County Superior Court will accept electronically filed petitions for Domestic Violence Restraining Orders, Domestic Violence Temporary Restraining Orders and Gun Violence Restraining Orders, pursuant to SB 538 (2021-22 Legislative Year), AB 887 (2021-22 Legislative Year), AB 2960 (2021-22 Legislative Year) and the court’s local rules (Division 6).

    Petitions can be filed free of charge  on the Public Portal (see additional information on how to file here) or through the court’s eFiling platform. Note that any petition filed through the eFiling platform may incur a charge from the EFSP (Electronic Filing Service Provider).

  • Remote Hearings and Appearances for Domestic Violence (DV) and Gun Violence (GV) Petition Hearings

    A party or witness may appear remotely at a hearing on a petition for a domestic violence or gun violence restraining order.

  • SB 241 Compliance (Remote Appearances in Civil Matters)

    In compliance with SB 241 (from the 2021-22 Legislative Year), the Madera County Superior Court has significantly revised the Zoom Appearance Request Form for remote appearances in civil matters.  The revisions are in effect from January 1, 2022 – July 1, 2023.  Go to Remote Video Appearances and please read the information carefully and follow all applicable instructions.

Acerca de la corte

La Corte Superior de California, condado de Madera, es una corte superior unificada, en la que desempeñan su cargo nueve jueces, un comisionado de apoyo familiar y un comisionado de tránsito. La corte cuenta con aproximadamente 100 funcionarios.

Misión

"Garantizar un acceso equitativo y justo para todos en el sistema judicial y prestar un servicio público de forma eficiente e imparcial".

Visión

"Proporcionar de manera sistémica un servicio transparente y equitativo adoptando los siguientes valores fundamentales: fiabilidad, respeto, responsabilidad, justicia, atención y educación cívica".

Jueces y liderazgo

El honorable Ernest J. LiCalsi  es el juez presidente de la corte. El honorable Dale J. Blea es el juez presidente adjunto de la corte. La funcionaria ejecutiva de la corte es la Sra. Adrienne Calip.  La funcionaria ejecutiva adjunta de la corte es la Sra. Amy Downey.

A cada juez se  particular de procedimiento legal para cada año de forma rotativa según lo determine el juez presidente.
